StatementNet Zero Buildings Ltd strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. Net Zero Buildings is committed to social responsibility and has zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking. As part of this commitment, we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and prohibit the use of forced, bonded (including debt bondage) or indentured labour, involuntary prison labour, slavery or trafficking of persons. Furthermore we hold our supply chain accountable in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and consider each supplier’s conduct when awarding and/or renewing business with the supplier.
Structure & Supply chainsNet Zero Buildings Limited which operates in the United Kingdom, is part of the wider Net Zero Buildings Group. We procure materials and sub contract labour used in the construction of modular buildings.
Risk/Due DiligenceNet Zero Buildings’s risk comes through the activity of our supply chain. To ensure we mitigate that risk Net Zero Buildings undertakes risk assessments with each of its supply chain partners and also asks every provider to undertake a supplier assessment form, which they sign off to confirm that they adhere too.
Net Zero Buildings also undertakes yearly salary reviews for all staff to ensure we meet the minimum requirement for national living wage/minimum wage levels set by the UK authorities.
Net Zero Buildings also have a confidential whistleblowing policy which encourages all members of staff the opportunity to raise concerns with business practice confidentially to a 3rd party organisation.
TrainingAll Net Zero Buildings staff employed are given specific instruction on our Modern Slavery statement during the induction process, and what actions to take if they believe we are not enforcing the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
All employees also receive code of ethics training identifying how to respond if business practice is not adhered too, of which the scope includes the Modern Slavery Act.
Sign offNet Zero Buildings reviews their position annually to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
